Etta’s Got A Hold On Me

“Etta’s Got A Hold On Me,” choreographed by Camille Imperial, was originally developed after receiving a DCA Performing Arts Grant Commission for Empowerment 2025. It premiered at the Lankershim Arts Center in May 2025 and explored raw, authentic womanhood through contemporary fusion set to the music of Etta James & costumes inspired by the works of Edith Head.

The Freedom Paradox

“The Freedom Paradox,” choreographed by Camille Imperial, was developed during a six-week choreographic residency awarded to her by the Dance Resource Center. The residency took place at Fusion Dance Academy in East Los Angeles.

“The Process of Self” directed by Camille Imperial. This film was chosen to screen at the American Dance Festival: Movies By Movers the Mobile Dance Film Festival, the Independent Silent Film Festival, and was a semi-finalist at the Student Los Angeles Film Awards.
